About the Doctor
With over 20 years experience as a chiropractor, Dr. Lawrence has a unique advantage as a spinal decompression practitioner.
Dr. Lawrence completed his undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) at the University of Toronto before entering the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1988. After 20 years of successful general chiropractic practice, Dr. Lawrence realized more could be done to help his patients suffering from chronic back and neck pain. Consequently, Dr. Lawrence began to study the leading edge treatments for chronic and acute back and neck pain.
In 2008 Dr. Lawrence became only the second certified non-surgical disc decompression therapy practitioner in Canada. Non-surgical disc decompression therapy is a highly successful, safe form of therapy for chronic and/or acute back and neck pain.
In 2011, he became board certified in chiropractic neurology. Chiropractic Neurology is the newest, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technique drawing from the fields of neurophysiology, psychology, neurology and nutrition. This leading-edge field brings new hope to the sick of all ages whom have failed to find relief in the present system.
Dr. Lawrence has further post-graduate training in functional endocrinology, functional blood chemistry analysis, neurotransmitters and the brain as well as advanced functional hypothyroid management to round out his breakthrough approach in managing neurological and metabolic disorders.
He has been featured on CJOH regarding chiropractic and on CFRA and in the Medical Post for features on non-surgical disc decompression therapy.
Although Dr. Lawrence possesses a very unique skill set, he continues to pursue higher knowledge so that he may leave no stone overturned when it comes to finding the root cause of your back pain and deliver the best care to treat it.
